At Minted Opulence Travel Agency (MOTA), we understand that plans can change. If you need to adjust travel dates, upgrade accommodations, or cancel your trip, you must follow the cancellation policy set by the travel provider at the time of booking.
This guide explains how to modify or cancel your reservation while ensuring compliance with provider policies.
🚀 Step 1: Review Your Booking & Cancellation Policy
1️⃣ Locate Your Booking Confirmation
• Check your email for your MOTA booking confirmation.
• Your confirmation includes:
✔Reservation number
✔Travel dates
✔Service provider details (airline, hotel, cruise, or tour company)
2️⃣ Check the Provider’s Modification & Cancellation Policy
• Each booking has its own rules based on the provider’s terms.
• Policies vary by:
✔Airlines (ticket changes, refunds, and fees)
✔Hotels & resorts (free cancellation vs. non-refundable rates)
✔Cruises & private tours (rebooking policies)
💡When booking with MOTA, you agree to the provider’s specific cancellation policy. Be sure to review this at the time of purchase.
📌 Step 2: Modify Your Booking
If you need to change travel dates, upgrade accommodations, or adjust your itinerary, follow these steps:
1️⃣ Modify Directly with the Travel Provider
• For flights: Visit the airline’s website and log into your reservation using your confirmation number.
• For hotels & resorts: Contact the hotel directly or use your booking portal.
• For cruises & tours: Check the provider’s policy and modify within the allowed window.
2️⃣ Be Aware of Fees or Restrictions
• Some bookings allow free changes, while others charge modification fees.
• Date changes may result in fare differences or availability restrictions.
💡MOTA does not control modification fees—these are set by the travel provider.
📌 Step 3: Cancel Your Booking
1️⃣ Follow the Provider’s Cancellation Policy
• For flights, hotels, and cruises, log into the booking portal of the provider to cancel.
• For non-refundable bookings, cancellations will not result in a refund.
2️⃣ Check Refund Eligibility
• Refunds (if applicable) will be processed by the provider according to their policy.
• Some cancellations result in credit for future travel rather than a monetary refund.
💡MOTA does not issue refunds. Refunds are subject to the provider’s cancellation terms agreed to at booking.
📌 Step 4: Receive Confirmation & Refund (If Eligible)
🔹 Confirmation Email
✔ Once canceled, you will receive a cancellation confirmation email from the provider.
🔹 Refund Processing (If Eligible)
✔ Refunds are processed by the provider and can take 7-14 business days depending on the payment method.
💡 If you booked a non-refundable rate, you will not receive a refund. Always check cancellation policies before booking.
